Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?

I bought a 1996 toyota camry with 120,000k miles on it for $3200. I had the car 3 months and have already put $700 in maintenance costs into it!.Timing belt, oil change, tranny oil change, belts, tune-up, couple tires etc. The problem is the check engine light just went on and I found out I need a new catallytic converter. It also needs new motor mounts. Then last month I just found out the carpet was moldy in the front passenger side.It was black mold and I cleaned it up.Today I noticed reddish-orange stains on the carpet from where mold used to be? Is that from cleaning product or is that mold coming back again? I had that car check out thoroughly by my mechanic before I bought it. He said everything was good except the timing belt and seals needed to be changed. How could he not know the catylytic converter was bad? How could he not know it needed a tune up? Or bad motor mounts? Maybe the seller didnt know it himself. Cars do break down after 120k. Any suggestions? Should sell it?Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
Get a new mechanic. He ripped you off.Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
Man you were ripped off. I bought a 1994 Toyota Camry in good condition for 2500 and sold it for the same!Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
you sure can't count a couple tires, oil changes, belts etc.. in your complaint... maybe the heap has been under water??Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
Fix it up and then sell it for more money.Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
You bought an eleven year old car with 120,000 miles on it for twelve percent of its original value and you are surprised that it had issues?

The mechanic pulled a visual inspection on the car. he cannot see the inside of the catalytic converter and the mold under the floor mats has nothing to do with the mechanical condition of the car.

If you want to make an investment in a car, get a late model used car with under 50,000 miles from a reputable source like a certified pre owned from a dealer, get an extended warranty, and have the car thoroughly checked out electronically and visually. You will pay more, but you certainly will get more car for your money.Ripped off! Man sold me car with mold in it. How do I get it out?
It sounds like it is more problem then it is worth, but then again maybe you fixed all the problems.

If you can live with the stains, fine: If not replace the carpeting. I'm surprised that no-one smelled the mold.

How to prevent mold is to keep it clean %26amp; dry inside, so that with the humidity, it doesn't cause mold to grow. How to clean mold(?), just do the best you can %26amp; as long as the mold that may still be there doesn't cause you to sneeze too much, or cause your thoat to feel like it is dried out, you should probably be fine. I would think a general cleaner should be able to get it out.

You may have dyed the carpeting, with what you used. Cover it up with another carpet if you can. Or dye it the same color, or a close color, to match it.

I'm even more surprised that UR machanic claimed that it was in good shape. Maybe you need a new machanic, one that is more observant, %26amp; one who will actually check out more details. Sell the car %26amp; the machanic: LOL.
