90 Civic Is it worth replacing broken motor mounts?

I recently bought a 1990 Civic ex Sedan, it needs new motor mounts. Is it worth getting replaced? When I turn the A/C on it causes the motor to shake and I was wondering if that could be the cause of the broken motor mounts. What should I do? Yes, I have not worked on that car. It is no big deal to change motor mounts. You need a hydraulic jack and some blocks of wood, like Pisces of 2%26quot;x 4%26quot; First you have 2 engine configurations a in line engine and a side winder or cross ways engine. With the in line engine, jack up front the car and block it up, block the rear wheels so it can not roll. never work under a car on a jack the life you save may be yours. you have to get under the car, put the bottle jack on a board and put a board between the oil pan and the jack. do one side at a time. undo the motor mount and lift the motor by the bottle jack a little until the mount are loose. put some block be tween the engine and the frame so there is no way it can slip. remove the motor mount, and replace it on the engine, take out the engine to frame block and Little the engine down a little until you can line up the bolts on the motor mount to the frame. now do the other one as the same ways. The best way to break motor mounts are jack rabbit start, on the tire spinning a getting on pavement. The reason you change one side at a time is so the engine can not slip out of position. If it is a cross engine, you do one mount at a time but, there are more and two top mount, you car use a bar to realine then for putting the bolts back in.90 Civic Is it worth replacing broken motor mounts?
If the car is in good running %26amp; driving condition, just a all around good car ,then the answer is yes it's worth it.motor mounts isn't that hard to change out. You don't need to change al of them at once , just find the ones that are bad and replace them .You should be able to see the bad rubber in the ones that are bad ,if not get someone to help you while your whiching the motor ,have them to start up the car and hold there foot on the brake , then put it in gear and give it some gas you should be able to see the bad one.The motor mounts might not be your problem , your might need to get a tune - up .The motor might be running rough do to bad spark plugs %26amp; dirty fuel filter. the mounts are pretty cheap, but i think that the vibration is something else.
