I was told my motor mounts in my 92 Hyundai Sante Fe are going, How do I tell if this is the problem?

When you put your foot on the break pedal and then shift from park to reverse then into drive my engine does rock. I observed this yesterday 6/15 when the oil change place was flusing my transmission. I was subquently told the engine %26quot;rocking%26quot; was from motor mounts that need replacing.I was told my motor mounts in my 92 Hyundai Sante Fe are going, How do I tell if this is the problem?
if movement is visable try lightly accelerating your engine while holding foot on brake and transmission engaged. If movement is eccessive mounts should be replaced.I was told my motor mounts in my 92 Hyundai Sante Fe are going, How do I tell if this is the problem?
If the engine is rocking, it's a pretty good indication the mounts are going bad. You may also hear a %26quot;clunk%26quot; noise (especially when the engine falls out!). (Only kidding!) I would have them changed as there is a very real possibility that a total engine mount failure is abouit to occur. That would increase the cost since the damage would not be confined to the engine, but possibly the radiator, transmission or drive train as well.
